India winners by 9 wickets

England 197 (48.3 ov) vs. Australia 5/200 (40.5 ov)
Australia winners by 5 wickets

South Africa 199 (48.3 ov) vs. Pakistan 3/200 (44.3 ov)
Pakistan winners by 7 wickets

New Zealand 285/8 (50 ov) vs. Sri Lanka 267 (50 ov)
New Zealand winners by 18 runs

Convincing wins for Australia and Pakistan and a very poor showing by the hosts!

Sri Lanka home confortably against Scotland

Sri Lanka has downed Scotland by 162 runs in their warm-up match at the 3W's oval. Sri Lanka finished on 7/294 after half-centuries from Kumar Sangakkara (81), Sanath Jayasuriya (77) and Upul Tharanga (70). Scotland was no match however, finishing all out for 132 off 41.2 overs.

Sri Lanka to issue commemorative World Cup stamps

The Sri Lankan Cricket board and the Department of Post and Telecommunications will issue postage stamps to commemorate the 2007 cricket World Cup. The stamps which will be officially launched on Friday, will be priced at Sri Lankan Rs.5 and Rs.50.

Sri Lanka's plays it's first match against Bermuda on March 15th.
